Collegium Ancora is thrilled to embark on a collaboration with the Newport Music Festival and St. Mary's Church, Newport, in a performance of two of the most moving choral works ever written: Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater and Vivaldi’s Gloria.  This performance promises to be a glorious finale to the Newport Music Festival’s 50th Anniversary Season.

 

The concert will be conducted by Vince Edwards and Cody Mead.  It features soloists Alexandra Batsios, Soprano, and Renée Rapier, Mezzo, along with a very special chamber orchestra comprised of NMF international soloists who have joined forces to create a stunning instrumental ensemble.
